Hamburger and Fries Anyone??

It was teacher appreciation week at my son's school, so, instead of the ordinary cupcakes for the teachers I decided to bring them something more. I had seen a hamburger cake that someone made on-line and got this idea.

I made miniature hamburger and with the extra cake made fries. The bun and the patties are made from cake and the lettuce and tomatoes from frosting. The Cheese was fondant.

Just so you can see the size of my burgers and fries I placed it next to a sprinkle bottle. Wow, I was amazed myself how cute they turned out.

Okay, this is my first blog. I started this journey creating a blog due to my close friends and customers asking if I have a web page where I feature my cakes. My friend Katie and Deslyn already have a blog, so, they both encouraged me...thanks guys. So, here it goes.

Let me first introduce my self. My name is Michelle (aka mommy, nanny, housekeeper, laundry fairy, maid, and cook) all in all I'm a stay at home mom, a mother of three and cake's became my hobby. I started my journey in 2004 when I signed up for the Wilton Decorating classes in Hawaii as an outlet for myself to be Michelle again just for an hour. And there was history. I'm passionate about my cakes. I want to be a Pastry Chef/ Cake Decorator when I grow up. I don't advertise my home based business here in Japan for I don't want to be doing 10 cakes a week. I'll like quality vs. quantity, I feel my product is a reflection on myself and my business, so, from experience I keep it to a minimum. I will be posting cake's that I have done in 2009. I might do them per month and this way I can see my progress. I enjoy the creative side of making cakes, so, please enjoy.
